Bitcoin Core wallet.dat, Blockchain.com legacy backups, Electrum wallets, Ethereum keystores, MetaMask vault data, BIP38 keys, and compatible formats—especially when the file is intact and password clues exist.

Remembered words, patterns, length ranges, old variants, likely substitutions, languages, keyboard habits, or known typos can make a bounded search realistic.

Corrupt wallet files, old drives, partial keys, incomplete recovery phrases, legacy Armory backups, and unusual wallet formats require format-specific review and may need a specialist partner.

No secret material exists

A public address, transaction ID, wallet balance, username, or password without the actual wallet/keys is not enough. Fully unknown strong passwords and completely missing seed phrases are generally infeasible.

Submit only descriptive, non-sensitive information. Never enter a seed phrase, private key, full password, recovery phrase, PIN, recovery code, wallet file, wallet contents, or secret key.

KeyBack cannot safely assess secrets through this initial form. Submissions are processed by FormSubmit and forwarded by email to KeyBack.

    Non-sensitive assessment

    Describe the wallet, its age, available material, remembered clues, and ownership evidence. Do not send secrets.

  2. 02

    Feasibility and terms

    If the case has a credible path, KeyBack explains the proposed scope, security method, success definition, fee, and risks before work begins.

  3. 03

    Written authorization

    Recovery work starts only after identity and ownership checks and a written owner authorization.

  4. 04

    Recovery attempt

    Work is performed against an agreed, bounded hypothesis. No result is guaranteed. A success fee applies only under the written success definition.

Never expose your keys to get an opinion.

Your initial request should contain only descriptive information. KeyBack will never ask you to post a seed phrase, private key, password, backup, or wallet file on social media, in a forum, or in this initial form.

We will not:

  • Promise a recovery or quote a “success rate”
  • Ask for advance tax, gas, release, or activation fees
  • Claim we can reverse blockchain transactions
  • Ask you to install remote-access software during screening
  • Approach you from an unverified social account
